Our Team

SlatteryIT has been dedicated to providing bespoke marketing and events services to the Australian IT & ICT industry since it was founded by Rachel Slattery in 2001. Our talented multidisciplinary team work in close collaboration to deliver outstanding results every time.

Rachel Slattery
Director

Rachel started SlatteryIT because of her passion for the technology sector. Rachel brings imagination and passion to everything she does. Whether you need to reach one person or one thousand, Rachel will have great ideas on how to do it!

Carolyn Todd
Director of Operations

Since joining the SlatteryIT team in January of 2004, Carolyn has honed her experience across a vast array of local and national events, consistently bringing projects in on time and on budget, as well as overseeing the operational and financial side of the business.

Caroline Lim
Creative Director

With her resounding diligence and creative flair, Caroline has been producing the websites, eDMs, presentations and all event and promotional collateral since joining the SlatteryIT team in 2005. Caroline has a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Technology, Sydney.

Zhien-U Bakarich
Conferences & Events Planner

Zhien-U is responsible for program creation, speaker liaison, sponsorship recruitment and promotional drives for events. She also works with clients and sponsors to ensure every event runs smoothly on the day. She has worked on the Agile Australia Conference for the last nine years. Zhien-U has a Bachelor of Communications from UTS and a Masters of Journalism from the University of Wollongong.

Adina Thavisin
Communications Manager

From a Creative Writing background, Adina found her place in the SlatteryIT team after completing a handful of marketing internships and realising her skills could go beyond writing low budget horror films. Her passion for word wrangling and knack for stakeholder management allow her to flit happily between our varied projects. Adina deals with communications and stakeholders for the Service Management conference, lends a hand to Agile Australia, Tech23 and anywhere else she is needed. Adina enjoys good food, good wine and terrible TV.

Claire Hansen
Communications Manager

Claire uses her skills in communications to produce beautifully-written content for SlatteryIT’s clients and events. She contributes to the design and implementation of marketing and communications strategies. Claire first joined SlatteryIT in May 2008. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications), First Class Honours in English, and a PhD in English literature from the University of Sydney.

Rebecca Nasato
Event Manager

Rebecca is a passionate and dedicated events professional with over six years’ experience across multiple platforms in event management, sales, marketing and administration. Rebecca’s strong organisation skills, attention to detail and meticulous administration practices have attributed to Rebecca’s success in the events industry. Some of Rebecca’s career highlights have been the management of large events including the ATE Cocktail Welcome Function for 1800 guests over four venues, her involvement in the management of Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival 2015 and managing large exhibitions at Central Pier. Rebecca has also recently undertaken a Communications Degree online to enhance her qualifications in Events, Public Relations and Internal and External Business Communication.

A.K.M.Saiful Hoque
Software Engineer

Saiful joined SlatteryIT as a software engineer, having excelled in his previous roles as a software engineer at ITIW, web developer at Elumina Elearning, and freelance web developer at Elance.com and freelancer.com. Saiful has a passion for technology and programming, a BSc in CSE and a Bachelor of IT degree. He is also a member of Golden Key International Honour Society.

Albane Jacquemin
Marketing Assistant

Albane joined SlatteryIT after moving from Paris, France. She is a masters graduate from a business school in Paris majoring in Marketing, Events and Communication. Due to her interest in technology and innovation, she completed a Postgraduate Diploma of Information Technology at Deakin University in Melbourne. Her experience encompasses a range of marketing activities such as communications, event management, sustainable development, e-commerce and tourism.

 
Alex Grills
Marketing and Events Assistant

Alex joined the SlatteryIT team in 2016 as the Marketing and Events Assistant and helps with database updates, media releases and everything in between. After travelling the world post high-school and dipping her toes in other industries, she found her niche in communications, and to this brings her creativity and a profound curiosity for innovation. She holds a Diploma in Business (Public Relations) from RMIT, and is currently studying a Bachelor of Media and Communications at Swinburne University.
