The Future Wireless forum will:
discuss the challenges for integrating Broadband Wireless technologies with
legacy networks; and
hear the proposal for the ACIF project to define how industry should structure
itself to do it.
"New and non-traditional providers of networks and services should be encouraged
to participate in industry self-regulation processes and in ACIF's work on NGN
issues".
"The strategy and workplan to deal with the broader transition to NGNs should be
implemented by the Department in consultation with ACMA, the ACCC and relevant
industry and consumer bodies."
November 2005: DCITA Report recommendations to the Minister for Communications IT
